My services cover every aspect of garden design including consultation, site survey, concept and technical drawings, full construction management, planting and ongoing maintenance. If you don't need a full garden design service and just would like some advice on how to improve your garden or would like to put some window boxes, I can help you with this.
Typical garden design process is as follows:
1. Consultation
At initial consultation to discuss what you're looking for in your new garden and what your requirements are. This is FREE to anyone within a 15-mile radius of my office.
2. Site Survey & analysis
The site survey includes measuring all the dimensions of the garden, as well as plotting all the other aspects of your garden, including light and shade, heights, soil testing and established planting. I will create a list of the most influential factors that will make the design fit your lifestyle desires and budget.
3. Concept Design
Over the following few weeks I'll produce a concept design having drawn upon my depth of knowledge taking into account your criteria and budget. Presentation of the design and further discussion takes place and if required alterations or adaptations may be made.
4. Final Garden Design
I produce a final presentation design, including construction drawings, planting layout specification and in-depth detailing of key features such as seating area etc.
5. Quotation & Bill of Quantities
Included in the final presentation will be a Detailed Bill of Quantities and Quotation for the implementation of the work.
6. Project Management
I coordinate all aspects of garden design projects to ensure smooth transitions from each
phase until project completion. You can choose your own landscaper or I can suggest you
several trusted landscape contractors and lighting design specialists who I work with closely.
Throughout the landscaping process I will ensure that the garden design plans are being adhered to and any needed build
alterations are in line with the intended design.
